Devendra Fadnavis, the BJP's Maharashtra unit chief, will be the next chief minister of the state. On Tuesday, Fadnavis was unanimously elected as the BJP leader in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. 

 

The BJP leader, who describes himself as Chief Political Officer on his website, will be sworn in at a grand ceremony on Friday evening at Wankhade Stadium.
