Capital Goods shares move up
Capital Goods stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index rising 404.62 points or 3.64% at 11532.48 at 09:53 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, V-Guard Industries Ltd (up 5.16%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd (up 4.7%),Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (up 3.94%),Bharat Forge Ltd (up 3.68%),Bharat Electronics Ltd (up 3.14%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Havells India Ltd (up 3.03%), GMR Infrastructure Ltd (up 2.55%), Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (up 2.13%), Finolex Cables Ltd (up 2.08%), and Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (up 1.93%).
At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 621.45 or 1.98% at 31992.57.
The Nifty 50 index was up 164.6 points or 1.79% at 9361.15.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 141.35 points or 1.34% at 10707.5.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 46.55 points or 1.24% at 3796.25.
On BSE,1227 shares were trading in green, 315 were trading in red and 75 were unchanged.
