Capital Goods stocks edge lower

Capital Goods stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index decreasing 55.1 points or 0.31% at 17819.85 at 13:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, HEG Ltd (down 3.22%), Siemens Ltd (down 2.74%),Sadbhav Engineering Ltd (down 1.73%),Finolex Cables Ltd (down 1.32%),V-Guard Industries Ltd (down 1.22%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Honeywell Automation India Ltd (down 1.13%), NBCC (India) Ltd (down 1.07%), Graphite India Ltd (down 1.05%), Thermax Ltd (down 0.64%), and Larsen & Toubro Ltd (down 0.51%).

On the other hand, Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (up 3.87%), Bharat Electronics Ltd (up 2.29%), and Havells India Ltd (up 1.15%) turned up.

 

At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 278.11 or 0.69% at 40564.59.

The Nifty 50 index was up 70.6 points or 0.59% at 11942.7.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 11.93 points or 0.09% at 13355.61.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 24.51 points or 0.53% at 4659.03.

On BSE,1116 shares were trading in green, 1294 were trading in red and 136 were unchanged.
