China Market closes 0.3% down

China share market closed session edge lower on Friday, 04 May 2018, as investors anxiously await the outcome of the Sino-U.S. trade talks later today. The blue-chip CSI300 index ended down 0.5% at 3,774.60, while the Shanghai Composite Index closed 0.3% lower at 3,091.03 points. The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.31% to 10,426.19 and the Nasdaq-style ChiNext Index was 0.65% lower at 1,814.85. China's CSI financial sector sub-index slipped 0.45%, the consumer staples sector down 0.26%, the real estate index rose 0.29% and healthcare sub-index gained 1.06%.
