Hong Kong Hang Seng falls 0.3%

Hong Kong stock market closed lower on Wednesday, 2 May 2018, as traders seek shelter in safer assets with the China economic outlook clouded by a looming trade war and awaited the U.S. Federal Reserve's upcoming policy statement. The Hang Seng Index ended down 84 points or 0.3% to 30,723. The China Enterprises Index fell 137 points or 1.1% to 12,193. Turnover increased to HK$104.3 billion from HK$93.6 billion on Monday. The local market closed on Tuesday for a public holiday.
