Healthcare stocks edge higher

Healthcare stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index increasing 213.46 points or 1.69% at 12875.4 at 16:00 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Indoco Remedies Ltd (up 7.08%), Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 6.95%),DIL Ltd (up 4.77%),Dr Lal Pathlabs Ltd (up 4.62%),Vimta Labs Ltd (up 4.2%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Bliss GVS Pharma Ltd (up 4.16%), Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Ltd (up 4.08%), Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd (up 3.68%), Unichem Laboratories Ltd (up 3.5%), and Biocon Ltd (up 3.27%).

On the other hand, Procter & Gamble Health Ltd (down 2.37%), IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 1.09%), and Sequent Scientific Ltd (down 0.77%) turned lower.

 

At 16:00 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 263.86 or 0.71% at 37332.79.

The Nifty 50 index was up 74.95 points or 0.68% at 11023.25.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 104.2 points or 0.84% at 12534.7.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 44.74 points or 1.06% at 4250.87.

On BSE,1412 shares were trading in green, 1121 were trading in red and 170 were unchanged.
