Information Technology stocks rise
Information Technology stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index increasing 56.67 points or 0.36% at 15714.96 at 09:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, NIIT Technologies Ltd (up 1.56%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (up 0.99%),Subex Ltd (up 0.97%),Tech Mahindra Ltd (up 0.92%),Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd (up 0.76%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd (up 0.42%), Majesco Ltd (up 0.26%), TVS Electronics Ltd (up 0.24%), Hexaware Technologies Ltd (up 0.21%), and Mindtree Ltd (up 0.18%).
On the other hand, 3i Infotech Ltd (down 3.95%), 63 Moons Technologies Ltd (down 2.74%), and Sasken Technologies Ltd (down 2.17%) turned lower.
At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 129.22 or 0.32% at 40740.25.
The Nifty 50 index was down 29.45 points or 0.24% at 12023.5.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 46.41 points or 0.34% at 13804.98.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 16.24 points or 0.34% at 4756.29.
On BSE,433 shares were trading in green, 947 were trading in red and 63 were unchanged.
