Information Technology shares spurt
Information Technology stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index rising 141.48 points or 0.95% at 14984.39 at 09:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd (up 2.89%), Trigyn Technologies Ltd (up 2.78%),63 Moons Technologies Ltd (up 2.28%),NELCO Ltd (up 2.27%),NIIT Technologies Ltd (up 1.86%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (up 1.47%), Tech Mahindra Ltd (up 1.33%), Mindtree Ltd (up 1.14%), AXISCADES Engineering Technologies Ltd (up 1.08%), and Infosys Ltd (up 0.85%).
On the other hand, Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (down 3.77%), CESC Ventures Ltd (down 2.23%), and eClerx Services Ltd (down 1.98%) moved lower.
At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 173.52 or 0.43% at 40413.4.
The Nifty 50 index was up 38.95 points or 0.33% at 11895.75.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 26.29 points or 0.2% at 13171.56.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 14.83 points or 0.32% at 4624.34.
On BSE,708 shares were trading in green, 595 were trading in red and 83 were unchanged.
