NHPC jumps after strong Q4 outcome

NHPC jumped 7.63% to Rs 25.40 at 09:20 IST on BSE after net profit surged 146.39% to Rs 492.29 crore on 96.03% rise in total income to Rs 2756.30 crore in Q4 March 2019 over Q4 March 2018.

The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 27 May 2019.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 47.33 points, or 0.12% to 39,730.62

On the BSE, 3.33 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far, compared with average daily volumes of 1.52 lakh shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 25.85 and a low of Rs 24.95 so far during the day.
