This refers to A K Bhattacharya's column "All the PM's men" (Raisina Hill, April 7). The future prime minister is well advised to learn from the last 10 years of "governance". It is to be observed that for good governance, the leader has to be decisive and must hold the dignity of the office he is holding. Our current prime minister has allowed his office to be degraded. The next prime minister has to be decisive even at the cost of being perceived as dictatorial. He not only has to take the country forward but also restore the dignity of the Prime Minister's Office and the principle of importance of collective responsibility of the Cabinet.
