A 16-year-old girl was killed in a massive landslide in Haari village of Poonch district, police said today.
Samina Bee died after being buried under the landslide when she had gone to fetch water from a nearby well in the village of Surankot Tehsil last evening, a police official said.
Upon receiving information, rescue teams of police and the Army rushed to the spot but the girl could not be saved, he said.
The body was handed over to the family for last rites, he said.
He said that incessant rainfall for past several days has increased the risk of landslides in the area.
