At-least forty MBBS students of Muzaffarnagar Medical college were booked by the police for creating violence in the campus after 65 out of 111 third year students were declared failed, police said today.
College principal Dr Anil Agarwal lodged a case against the students for disturbing classes and damaging college property, police said.
They said 40 MBBS students have been booked for resorting to violence. Eight policemen, 6 MBBS students and two officials of the college were injured in the clashes between agitating students and police personnel in the campus here yesterday.

The students indulged in breaking window panes of the classrooms and also pelted stones on the police when the cops tried to evict them from the college premises.
The protest started yesterday after the results of third year examination were declared and 65 out of 111 students were declared failed.
While students continued there protest, security arrangement has been tightened in the area and extra police personnel have been deployed to thwart any untoward incidents.
