Heat wave conditions prevailed across western Rajasthan today with Barmer district registering maximum 43.6 degree Celsius, a met official said.
Despite cloudy and windy conditions, the day temperature hovered above 40 degree C in the state.
While western districts of Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, and Churu were sizzling between 40.9 and 42 degrees C, Jaipur recorded a maximum of 40.7 degree C, about 2 degree more than yesterday.
Windy and dusty weather would continue to hit the normal life in the state for next 24 hours, a forecast said.
