Five younsgters, including three women, were killed and two others seriously injured when the SUV in which they were travelling rammed into a truck coming from the opposite direction on NH-1 here, police said.
The deceased were all aged about 21-22 years and hailed from Sonipat and Himachal Pradesh, they said.
The accident took place when they were travelling to Gannuar in Sonepat to attend a funeral and their vehicle collided with a truck when it was passing through an under-construction flyover, SHO Vikrant Singh said.

Some members of the group who were students in a private college in Chandigarh, had travelled in a bus till near Karnal, where they joined their friends who were travelling in the SUV.
Police said the victims were rushed to a hospital after being taken out from the badly mangled vehicle, but five of them were declared brought dead.
The injured have been admitted to the Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College Hospital, the SHO said.
