Lalu expresses sorrow over lawyer's death in police firing

RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav today expressed sorrow over the death of a lawyer in Allahabad in police firing in the court premises and demanded compensation for the victim's family.

Yadav, talking to PTI, supported the lawyers' agitation on Monday against the incident.

Lawyers of the Patna High Court has extended support to the stir.

The UP government has recommended a CBI probe into the killing of lawyer Nabi Ahmad in Allahabad district court premises and injury to a constable in subsequent clashes on Wednesday last.
