Absconder arrested after 13 years in Jammu

An absconder, facing charges of house-breaking and theft, was today arrested after 13 years in the winter capital Jammu, police said.

Ranbir Singh alias Rana, a resident of Gurah Barnai locality, was arrested from Chinore area and was later produced before the court, a police spokesman said.

He said an FIR under various sections of the Indian Penal Code was registered against Singh at Domanapolice station in 2004 and he was evading arrest since then.
