Agriculture dept official arrested while taking bribe

The Anti-Corruption Bureau has arrested an official of the agriculture department at Yeola in the district while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 for clearing of bills of Rs 1,90,000.

Agricultural assistant Suryakant Dighe had sent the bills

For sanctioning to his seniors and demanded Rs 39,000 from the complainant in the meanwhile as a bribe.

He was today arrested red-handed while taking Rs 20,000 at his office by the ACB sleuths, a police release said.
