Akhilesh flags off first batch of Haj pilgrims from UP

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today flagged off the first batch of Haj pilgrims from the state and requested them to pray for the prosperity of society and the country.

Flagging off the batch, he said that religious yatras had been very important since ancient times, therefore his government has given special attention on them as they give a healthy message to the society.

He said the SP government was working continuously to provide better amenities to the pilgrims.

Akhilesh said that SP government was working for the welfare of all sections of the society as a result of which prosperity has increased in the state.
 

He said Haj house premises here and in Ghaziabad could be used for preparation of competitive examinations with a view to take the society forward.
