Children being tried under the Juvenile Justice Board for crimes of various magnitudes participated in an art workshop here.
Organised by Trijya, an art and culture organisation, the workshop held yesterday saw the participation of almost 94 children from Sewa Kutir, an observation home for juvenile offenders in city.
Trijaya, which attempts to benefit the underprivileged and harassed sections of the society through the medium of art and culture, says it aims to organise cultural workshops for at least 10,000 children this year.
"We try to improve the quality of life through art and culture and use their (juvenile offenders) energies in positive directions," says Smarika, Secretary, Trijya, Delhi Unit.
Appreciating the workshop by Trijya, Pramodya Khakha, In-charge of Sewa Kutir says, "With these kind of events we can guide these children towards positivity and hope. It acts as a source of inspiration for them to achieve something positive in life."
Trijya has established several monitoring centres and conducted art workshops across Delhi.
