Copper and brass recover on fresh demand

Copper and brass sheet cuttings recovered at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amid fresh demand from consuming industries.

While, tin prices eased further owing to subdued demand from alloy industries.

Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar gained by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 368 and Rs 396 from Tuesday's close at Rs 365 and Rs 393.

Copper scrap heavy, copper utensils and brass sheet cuttings edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 358, Rs 327 and Rs 302 as against Rs 356, Rs 325 and Rs 300 yesterday.

However, tin prices softened by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,630 as compared to Rs 1,640 yesterday.
