Court awards lifer to one

A local court in Nawada district of Bihar today sentenced a person to life imprisonment for the murder of a businessman in 2000.

Sessions Judge Vikram Singh sentence Pramod Singh after convicting him under Sections 302 and 307 of the IPC and also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on him.

Singh, a resident of Narhat police station area, was convicted for murdering a brick kiln manager Ashok Singh on February 26, 2000. Another worker Ratan Singh was injured in the incident.
