A 25-year-old man facing some criminal charges was killed, while another person was shot at allegedly by three bike-borne youths near Gagehada forest in Mandhata area here, police said today.
Krishna Dev alias Chunmun Pandey was shot dead by three bike-borne youths after they stopped the roadways bus by which Dev was travelling, they said.
Dev was then rushed to the district hospital where he was declared brought dead, police said.
Another person, Ashok Singh alias Raju got injured as he was shot by the miscreants after he chased them after the incident. His condition is stated to be serious, they added.
The probe is on in the matter and no arrests have been made so far, police said.
