Crude palm oil prices fell by 0.91 per cent to Rs 391.40 per 10 kg in futures trade in evening session today as speculators indulged in trimming positions, taking weak cues from spot market on low demand.

In futures trading at Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in September fell by Rs 3.70, or 0.94 per cent, to Rs 391.40 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 23 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in October eased by Rs 3.30, or 0.84 per cent, to Rs 391 per 10 kg in 34 lots.

The exchange opened for the evening session as it remained closed in the morning for 'Ganesh Chaturthi'.

Analysts said offloading of positions by participants triggered by sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
