Currency worth Rs 6 lakh damaged during robbery bid

The currency notes were damaged when the Central Bank of India's ATM caught fire after unidentified persons tried to cut it open with a gas cutter last night, they said.
Police said the ATM was unmanned at the time of the incident as the security guard was on leave.
The CCTV camera installed in the ATM kiosk also got damaged in the fire, they added.
