Government doctors in Uttar Pradesh will observe a day-long protest on September 20 against delay in implementation of recommendations of a wage committee for them.
The doctors agitating under the banner of Uttar Pradesh Provincial Medical Services Association have decided to hold a week-long protest if their demand was not met, UPMSA President Ashok Yadav said.
"Further strategy of the agitation would be chalked out at a meeting of the UPMSA central executive on October 6," he said.
The wage committee in 2008 had recommended dynamic career progress and time-bound increase in salary scale, Yadav said.
