An exporters' meet to mentor first generation entrepreneurs will be held under a scheme, Niryat Bandhu, on January 30 at Ludhiana.
The meet is being organised by Directorate General of Foreign Trade in association with FIEO.
Ajay Sahai, FIEO Director General & CEO, the scheme provides 'handholding' of the young business enterprises.
Under the scheme, officers of Directorate General of Foreign Trade will be investing time and knowledge to mentor interested individuals to conduct the business in a legal and ethical way.
Sahai in a release said there will also be a presentation on the Indian Trade Portal -www.Indiantradeportal.In, which provides information on Trade Agreements, MFN and Preferential tariffs, SPS/TBT measures adopted by various countries including India, export markets etc.
S C Ralhan, Chairman (Northern Region) Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) said the event is believed to gather 80-100 exporters of Ludhiana and adjoining areas.
