Four get lifer in murder case

A local court today sentenced four persons to life imprisonment in a 2008 murder case.

Karimnagar Fifth Additional Sessions Judge D Vasudeva Rao convicted the four accused and awarded life imprisonment.

According to the Public Prosecutor D Ravinder Reddy, the deceased Vontela Narsimha Reddy (65) of Ganneru Varam village under Bejjenki police limits, had a boundary dispute with his neighbour Kanthala Mallareddy.

"On 2008 December,6, while Reddy was constructing a wall in his land, his neighbour Kanthala Mallareddy (31), Kanthala Ram Reddy (26), B Basireddy (62) and B Mallikarjun Reddy (42) attacked on Narsimha Reddy with sticks, who later succumbed to injuries after 10 days," the public prosecutor said.
 

On a complaint filed by V Ram Reddy, police registered a case, arrested the accused and remanded them to judicial custody.

The court has also imposed a fine of of Rs 500 on each of them.
