Fresh talks between the acting chief justice of Rajasthan High Court and striking advocates on the issue of transfer of two judicial officers failed to end the ongoing standoff with both sides sticking to their stands.
Three advocates who have been served contempt notices by the Rajasthan High Court earlier appeared in the court here as office-bearers of Rajasthan High Court Advocates' Association.
The court deferred hearing on contempt proceedings to September 29.

The advocates stuck to their demand of the transfer of the judicial officers whereas the acting Chief Justice Sunil Ambvani advised them to call of their strike first.
The strike began from the Jaipur Bench before lawyers at the principal seat in Jodhpur joined it.
