A minor girl fell to her death after a panther attacked her and jumped off the roof with the 12-year old in his grip.
"Ravina was sleeping on the terrace with her mother and other family members when a panther came and caught the girl by her neck and dragged her. The panther climbed the boundary wall and jumped with the girl in its grip but the girl fell down," Circle officer (Kumbhalgarh) Chandan Singh said.
He said that hearing the cries of the girl, her parents rushed to rescue her.
The panther ran away and the girl was rushed to a doctor who declared her dead, he said.
The incident occurred in a village near Kumbhalgarh which is close to forest area having movement of panthers.
