Groundnut oil prices strengthened further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on sustained demand from stockists and retailers.
Meanwhile, refined palmolein and linseed oil maintained a stable trend in the absence of any largescale buying activity.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial dropped further due to subdued demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.
In the edible segment, Groundnut oil advanced by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 785 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 780.
However, refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 565 per 10 kg.
Moving to non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold declined by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 4,225 from Rs 4,250 and castor oil commercial moved down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 875 as against Rs 880 previously. Linseeds oil closed unaltered at Rs 745 per 10 kg.
