Gur prices end quiet in thin trade

The wholesale gur (jaggery) market settled quiet in the national capital today as prices in range-bound movements on little doing, settled flat.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also displayed a steady trend on little doing.

Marketmen said absence of any worthwhile activity due to offseason, mainly kept gur prices unmoved.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,500-3,600, pedi Rs 3,650-3,750, dhayya Rs 3,900-4,000 and shakkar Rs 4,000-4,100.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,650-2,700, chakku Rs 3,125- 3,350, khurpa Rs N.Q. And Ladoo Rs 3,250-3,300.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,300-3,350 and dhayya Rs 3,400- 3,450.
