Singer Gwen Stefani was heartbroken following her split from Gavin Rossdale but found comfort in her "ray of sunshine", Blake Shelton.
The 46-year-old "God Gave Me You" hitmaker started dating the former No Doubt star following the end of their marriages to Miranda Lambert and Rossdale respectively and found comfort in each other, reported People magazine.
"She was heartbroken for her children that the marriage wasn't going to work. She tried so hard for the kids to keep the marriage together. Then here came this ray of sunshine who did make her smile, and now he's one of the most positive people in her life," a source said.
"They have turned lemons into lemonade and have turned a bad situation for both of them into something great. They're both much happier."
Meanwhile, the 46-year-old singer previously revealed her album has turned her divorce from Rossadale - with whom she has Kingston, nine, Zuma, seven and Apollo, two - into "something beautiful".
