Heavy hail storm hit various locations of the Namsai district in Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday rendering huge damages to public and private properties, a district official said.
"Reports of damages to dwelling houses, plantation crops, tea, and rubber, standing vegetable gardens and death of livestock due to uprooting trees are pouring in from villages," Deputy Commissioner R K Sharma said in a statement today.
While power supply to the district from Assam has been disrupted, the actual loss of properties is being assessed by district administration, he added.
