Karnataka wins sitting volleyball championship

Karnataka won the fifth National Sitting Volleyball Championship for physically challenged players, beating Rajasthan 25-13 25-9 here today.

Karnataka had beaten Pondicherry 25-13 25-17 while Rajasthan overcame Telangana 25-21, 25-21 in the semi final matches played in the morning.

In a closely contested match for third place, Telengana defeated Pondicherry 25-22, 25-22 25-23.

Kumaaguru College of Technology principal, Dr R S Kumar, the host, handed over the trophy and Rs 20,000 to the winners, while the runners up received a trophy and rs.20,000.

Telangana received a trophy and Rs 5,000, while Pondicherry received a trophy and Rs 3,000.
