Keralite held for bid to smuggle Rs 25 lakh worth gold

A man from Kerala was detained at the airport here today for allegedly attempting to smuggle in Rs 25 lakh worth gold from Dubai.

Ashraf, a resident of Kasargod, was found carrying one kg of gold kept concealed in a music system, customs officials said.

He was detained by the Customs officials on his arrival from Dubai in the wee hours today.
