A 30-year-old man was handed over to the people by local people for allegedly defiling a Gurdwara at Chaheru village this evening.
The local people alleged that Navdeep Singh smashed panes of Gurdwara Hall, attacked granthi(priest) with ceremonial weapons(karars) lying in-front of the palanquin(palki) in which the Guru Granth Sahib was placed and then tried to flee but the granthi raised an alarm.
The local people chased and overpowered Navdeep and handed him over him to police.
