A 60-year-old man was killed over a land-related dispute at Bheria village under Belaganj police station in Gaya district today.
Additional SP Ashok Kumar Singh said the incident happened when Dhaneshwar Chaudhary had an argument with a few persons of his village regarding the boundary of his field.
"The argument turned violent and the persons attacked Dhaneshwar with sticks. He got injured seriously and started bleeding profusely. A few others rushed him to the nearest Primary Health Centre, where he was declared brought dead," said Singh.
Dhaneshwar's son Vikram Chaudhary has filed an FIR accusing five person for killing his father.
The police have arrested three of them - Bigan Chaudhary, Pramod Chaudhary and Moti Chaudhary. Two others - Phoolan Chaudhary and and Prem Chaudhary were still absconding, the SP added.
