A man allegedly shot dead his 24-year-old son during an argument with him over his drinking habit in Dauseras village here today.
"The father, Saurai Khan, would be nabbed soon," said SP City Manoj Sonkar, who visited the spot.
"When Saurai Khan objected to his son Zamshed's inebriated state, he started abusing Saurai," Sazid Khan, brother of the victim, stated in his complaint.
During the argument, Zamshed picked up a lathi (stick). On this, the father fired at the son," the report said.
Saurai Khan fled the scene and is still absconding.
