Suspecting his wife of having an illicit relationship with a neighbour, the man beheaded her in front of their minor daughter and threw the head outside the house of her alleged lover in Burdwan district, police said today.
The incident happened under Katwa subdivision's Ramdaspur area when Jayanta Hazra killed his wife Rakhi with a sharp edegd weapon after returning home last night.
Police said the man then walked off with his wife's blood-soaked head and threw it outside the house of the neighbour with whom he suspected his wife had an affair.
After the incident, which happened in front of his 10-year-old daughter, he surrendered to the police and admitted of the crime.
