A 26-year-old man was killed while another youth was injured in an incident of firing in Karnawal Bazaar area here today, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Billoo, while the injured is Sunil (25).
The firing was done by Mohit (22).
According to police, Mohit and Sunil were friends and were at the market today evening. Suddenly, Mohit fired at Sunil.
Besides Sunil, the bullets also hit Billoo who was passing from there. He died on the spot.
Sunil is seriously injured.
Police said it is not yet known why Mohit fired at Sunil.
Raid was conducted at Mohit's house to arrest him, but it was locked, they added.
