A 30-year-old man was shot dead at Bharsi village in Shamli district, police said today.
The incident occurred last evening when the victim Shabbir was visting his sister's house.
Police said his body has been sent for post-mortem, adding that the shooters have not been identified yet.
In another incident, a person with a past criminal record was shot dead by some unidentified people at Khandarawli village in Shamli district yesterday.
The deceased Sadiq had been released from jail recently, police said.
In a third incident, the body of an employee of the agriculture department, Ran Singh, was found in suspicious circumstances at Kairana in Shamli district yesterday.
Police said the body has been sent for postmortem and investigation is on.
