Medium sugar edges-up on mild demand

Medium sugar prices edged-up marginally at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to mild demand from stockists and retailers.

While, small sugar prices maintained a mixed trend on alternate bouts of buying and selling.

Medium sugar (M-30) moved up by Rs 2 per quintal to Rs 3,682/3,922 from Wednesday's level of Rs 3,680/3,922.

However, small sugar (S-30) was quoted at 3,632/3,692 per quintal.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,632/3,692 (Rs 3,620/3,700).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,682/3,922 (Rs 3,680/3,922).
