Medium sugar gains in listless trade

Medium sugar prices gained in an otherwise listless Vashi wholesale market here today due to good demand from stockists and retailers.

While small sugar ruled stable in the absence of any large-scale buying,

Medium sugar (M-30) rose by Rs 26 per quintal to Rs 3,752/3,996 from Wednesday's close Rs 3,726/3,996.

Small sugar (S-30) closed unchanged at Rs 3,702/3,800 per quintal.

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,702/3,800 (Rs 3,702/3,800).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,752/3,996 (Rs 3,726/3,996).
