Medium sugar slumped at the Vashi wholesale market here today due lack of demand from stockists and retailers amid subdued millers offtake.
While, small sugar held stable in absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
Medium sugar (M-30) fell by Rs 40/10 per quintal to Rs 3,660/3,906 from Thursday's close at Rs 3,700/3,916.
Small sugar (S-30) closed unchanged at Rs 3,580/3,802 per quintal.
