Medium sugar rallies on good demand

Medium sugar prices rallied at the Vashi wholesale market today on sustained demand from stockists and retailers.

While, small sugar variety ruled stable in the absence of any largescale buying activity.

Medium sugar (M-30) up Rs 40 per quintal to Rs 3,242/3,382 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 3,202/3,382.

However, small sugar remained unaltered at 3,110/3,202 per quintal.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,110/3,202 (Rs 3,110/ 3,202.

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,242/3,382 (Rs 3,202/ 3,382).
