A seven-year-old boy was
killed allegedly by two unidentified persons in Mehnagar police station area here today.
The deceased identified as Krishna Yadav, a Class I student of Ram Kunwar Public School here had gone with his classmate to relieve himself, in an open space behind the school campus, SP Dayanand Misra said.
The suspects attacked the boy and slit his neck leaving him dead on the spot, the SP said adding that all angles including possible rivalry in the village are being looked into.
Meanwhile, the students and locals blocked a road outside the school protesting the incident.
However, forces were deployed and the situation was brought under control.
