Officials told to prepare Kadapa watergrid plan by November 30

Panchayat Raj and Rural development advisor to Andhra Pradesh government Kondal Rao, urged Kadapa district officials today, to prepare a watergrid plan to cater drinking, irrigation and industrial water needs by the end of November.

Addressing a meeting of engineers of small, medium and major irrigation departments, he directed them to take in to account water availability in Pydipalem, Vamikonda, Somasila backwaters, as well as Bramhamsagar and Annamayya projects, to supply drinking water to all habitations and provide irrigation facilities.

He said that officials should consider providing 80 litres per head in villages and 150 litres per head in towns, while preparing plans for the watergrid.
