Power production at 3rd unit of thermal plant resumes

: Power production at the third unit of the thermal power plant here resumed today after 55 days maintanance work, officials said.

The work was undertaken as the unit was frequently facing problems, they said, adding the unit was shut down on November 26, following which 210 power generation was affected.

All five units, each of 210 MW, are now generating 1050 MW, they said.
