A proclaimed offender who was allegedly involved in the murder of an aide of former Union Minister M K Alagiri, 'Attack' Pandi was arrested today in Mumbai by a special police team from the city, police said here.
Pandi was eluding arrest since the January 31, 2013 murder of "Pottu" Suresh, a close aide Alagiri.
A special team of police from here arrested Pandi, wanted in the 2013 murder of 'Pottu' Suresh, a senior police official said.

Pandi, who is a history-sheeter under Vilakkuthoon police station (later his files were transferred to Keeraithurai police station under which the area he resides falls), shot to infamy after he was accused in the burning of the office of Tamil daily "Dinakaran" in 2007 in which three employees were killed. However, he was acquitted in the case.
Several criminal cases, including those of kidnap, attempt to murder and land-grabbing, were pending against him, police said.
