Rain and thundershowers occurred at several places in Uttar Pradesh since yesterday.
According to the Met department, Nagina received the maximum rainfall of 6 cm, followed by Najibabad (3 mm), Nighasan, Bilgram and Bareilly (2 mm each), Kakrahi, Palliakalan, Bansgaon, Dalmau, Azamgarh, Gorawal, Bareilly and Moradabad (1 mm each).
Day temperatures rose in Faizabad division, fell appreciably in Meerut division, fell in Bareilly division and changed a little in the remaining divisions of the state.
The temperatures were appreciably below normal in Bareilly and Gorakhpur divisions, appreciably above normal in Allahabad division, above normal in Varanasi, Kanpur and Jhansi divisions and normal in the remaining divisions.
Etawah recorded the highest temperature of 45.2 degrees Celsius.
